Career management is an ongoing, dynamic process that evolves throughout your career, whether you’re just starting out or advancing in your field. We’re here to support you every step of the way. Here’s a simple guide to help you maximize the process while at Kogod:

  • Bi-Monthly Check Ins: Meet with your coach regularly to stay on track and refine your action plan;
  • Develop Your Action Plan: Tailor your plan to your personal goals, making the most of your time at Kogod and beyond;
  • Assess: Evaluate your current skills and identify gaps to achieve your objectives—whether switching industries or aiming for a promotion, look for the professionals you want to connect with;
  • Explore: Understand the trends and opportunities in your target industry or the promotion process at your current company, build your network with professionals and alums in your area of interest;
  • Prepare: Update your resume, LinkedIn, and other materials to showcase your skills and experiences from before and during your program, keep up with your networking and new relationships;
  • Apply: Take action and immerse yourself in networking, events, conferences, competitions, projects and other experiences while at school to build your skills and when you are ready start applying to jobs or internship.
