VMock
VMock is Kogod’s AI-powered tech tool for résumé and LinkedIn prep and review. You can access it using your AU email and creating a new account.
Résumé: Make sure to first update your résumé using the Kogod template available as it is already optimized to help you achieve a high score on presentation and formatting, so you can focus on crafting the content of your résumé. After uploading a PDF of your Kogod résumé you can click on ‘Detailed Feedback” to review what are the recommendations and edits to improve your score. Note: you have 10 uploads to VMock per year, so make all suggested edits before uploading again.
Aspire: Will allow you to receive AI-powered feedback on your LinkedIn account! Click on “Aspire” at the top of VMock. Follow the prompts to enable the system to analyze your LinkedIn profile. After analysis is complete, click on “detailed feedback” and review the 6 categories (personal information, profile picture, headline, summary, experience, education).
VMock is a great tool to have your resume instantly analyzed and benchmarked to the Kogod format.
- Go to “Resume” in the top left toolbar.
- Click “Upload Resume” and make sure to upload your resume in a PDF format.
- Click “View Detailed Feedback” to open a dashboard detailing individual recommendations for improvement in three categories: Impact, Presentation, and Competencies.
- Navigate through the feedback interface to see which areas are good to go (green), and which could use some improvement (red).

Make it to the “Green Zone” with a total score of 30 on presentation and overall score 65+
Aspire is a tool to optimize your LinkedIn profile in alignment with your career goals. Aspire grades your LinkedIn profile according to three criteria: Content, Skills, and Visibility. Note: Your LinkedIn profile must be CREATED in English to receive feedback from VMock Aspire. You will need to create a new profile if the current one was not created in English.
- After logging into VMock, click on “Aspire” in the left toolbar
- Link your LinkedIn Profile by clicking “Connect with LinkedIn”
- Click “Upload LinkedIn PDF” to receive detailed instructions on how to download a PDF of your LinkedIn profile and upload it to Aspire.
- View detailed feedback on every section of your profile from headline to education.
- Clicking the edit button to the right will take you directly to that section so you can make the necessary changes.
- You can edit each section of your LinkedIn (i.e. Personal Information, Profile Picture, Headline, Summary, Experience, Education) by clicking on the three categories: Content, Skills, and Profile Visibility.
- Click on a category to see what can be improved for each section of your LinkedIn.
- Click the blue pencil on the right-hand side to make edits.
- You can make your changes on the right-hand side. The left-hand side shows you suggestions for your section and what similar students have included.
Goal
Make it to the “Green Zone” by incorporating all of the detailed feedback into your LinkedIn profile and re-upload the updated version!
